Climate Change Legislation Update
Climate change legislation is still a critical issue that will impact your electric bill. On Thursday, November 5th, the Senate’s Environment and Public Works Committee passed the bill through their committee, in spite of a boycott of the hearings from the Republican Minority.
We are keeping a close eye on this bill and we encourage you to do the same. You can keep up-to-date by following us on Twitter or Facebook, or by logging on to www.southernpd.com/oeof.
We are continuing to encourage communication with our state’s senators, Mike Johanns and Ben Nelson. If you would like to send a
message about your concerns relating to climate change legislation, you may log on to southern’s website to send an email message, or fill out the form on page four of this newsletter.
