Basic Construction Policy

Southern will contribute $20 per new connected horsepower toward the cost of adding/building new irrigation services to our lines. This contribution is deducted from the total cost of putting in the service. (Cost includes all material and labor required to build the service). Any portion of the cost that exceeds Southern's contribution is the responsibility of the customer.

For converting v-phase line the cost is $2,000 for the first mile. Construction of additional miles is the actual cost minus retirement credit from materials.
