Board of Directors

Southern is governed by a 14-member democratically elected board of directors. Each county served by Southern is represented by two directors. The board is committee to providing reliable and reasonably priced electricity to meet the needs of our customers now and into the future.

Southern's board meetings are normally held on the second Wednesday of each month and begin at 10:30 a.m. in the District's Corporate Office at 4550 West Husker Highway in Grand Island. The meetings are open to the public and a specific agenda item is provided for customers wishing to address the board. Please contact President/CEO Neal Niedfeldt or the director representing your county if you wish to bring a matter before the board.
