Electric Heat Incentives Southern Power District offers a incentive program to customers who convert their existing, fossil fueled heating and cooling system with an energy efficient, ENERGY STAR qualified air source or ground source heat pump. The program is also offered to customers who upgrade their existing heat pump.

There are different levels of rebates available to you, for new construction or conversions and upgrades. To determine which rebates are available to you, refer to the chart below.

Once you decide to take the step to improve your home’s efficiency with a heat pump, you will be required to have a performance verification completed in order to qualify for your incentive. This will assure that your heat pump is operating properly and assure the energy savings you deserve. The incentive for heat pump dealers is outlined in the chart below:

THE MARATHON WATER HEATER WILL NO LONGER BE OFFERED AS A HEAT INCENTIVE FOR NEW HOMES. MUST CONVERT FROM A FOSSIL FUELED WATER HEATER TO AN ELECTRIC ONE.
