Job Opening: Engineer or Engineering Technician

Southern Public Power District is accepting applications for position to work within the Engineering Department. Individual must possess and demonstrate technical knowledge and skills in the area of subtransmission (34.5 and 69 kV) substation design, system planning, SCADA, and protection (relay coordination/settings). Understanding substation construction, operation, and maintenance techniques and standards is beneficial. Must be a problem-solver and embrace change.

Engineering Tech position requires an Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent. Engineer position must have a Bachelor’s degree in civil or electrical engineering, or a related field is required. Good starting salary with excellent fringe benefits.
