SPD Announces Kearney County Vacancy on Board of Directors

Doug Boisen, 14-year board member for Southern Power District, has announced that he will retire from the Board of Directors following the January, 2009 Board Meeting. Boisen’s departure will create a vacancy on the Board, and the district is now seeking applicants for consideration from Kearney County.

If you are a residential customer of Kearney County, and have an interest in shaping the future of your electrical service, we encourage you to submit your name to the District. All individuals under consideration will be reviewed by a special Board selection committee, and actual selection will be made by the Board of Directors, most likely at their December meeting this year.

For more information or to indicate your interest in this vacancy, please contact Southern’s President/CEO, Gary Hedman, at 308-384-2350.
