Switch & Save Campaign Continues Through December
The Switch & Save Campaign which began in November is continuing through December 31st. This campaign was launched by Nebraska Public Power District and its wholesale customer utilities (including Southern Power District) to encourage energy efficiency achieved through the installation of compact fluorescent lamps. Local retailers in communities served by NPPD have coupons that customers can use to purchase CFLs at a discounted price. The coupons provide either one dollar off a single CFL package, or two dollars off a multiple pack. The lamps that qualify for the campaign must be Energy Star qualified. For customers in the Grand Island and Hastings area, coupons were available in your November customer newsletter at Ace Hardware in Grand Island or Big G Ace in Hastings. A complete listing of retailers participating in Southern’s service area is provided on NPPD’s website at www.nppd.com, and also on Southern’s website at www.southernpd.com.
